oldtimefamilybaseball: Do not adjust your computer monitors, handsome man Robin Ventura and unidentified smiling man are merely wearing the 1972 throwback uniforms the Sox will be sporting on Sundays this season. While I like the slightly altered “Sox” on the cap and uniform, I always feel a little like I’m living on Earth-Two whenever I see these bad boys. Even the 80s softball uniforms were more comforting than these. UPDATE: BleacherBummed recognizes the other man as Bill Melton, former 3B and current analyst for the White Sox. Notice the similarity? (via Baseball Nation) I’m not a Sox fan but I can admit when a team has amazing uniforms and these really take the cake.
